configuring cups

hello,
I have got a win2k-computer in my net which hast a printer. this printer is
shared and there is no problem to use it by ohter m$-os.
Even the command:
smbclient -L hostname -N
shows me the printer:
added interface ip=192.192.50.23 bcast=192.192.50.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Got a positive name query response from 192.192.50.38 ( 192.192.50.38 )
Doing spnego session setup (blob length=16)
OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]
Sharename Type Comment

But if i want to add an new printer using kcontrol (add new printer/class) the
module which surches the net for printers only finds the workgroup my win2k
machin is in. nothing more. not the host itsself nor the printer.
If i type the location manullay in the fields i am not able to print
afterwards.
what to do?
