limitations of smb (konqueror)?

Hello list,

I am happily trying kde3.1 (ktown) on my notebook now and wondered,
if there was any progress wrt smb-shares within konqueror.
Last time I tried (kde2.2) I noticed, that smb-connections
are very unstable with smb:// in konqueror and it seems
that these limitations still apply for recent kde3.1. These are:
Copying of multiple files hangs after 1st or 2nd file, sometimes
even copying 1 file hangs at 9x per cent or so. Deleting
files on smb: shares or even copying files to a smb-share
does not work. I use recent samba packages from unstable,
or is there probably a limitation wrt kernel version (me running
2.4.17)?

Thanks,

Olaf
