I get the same error message, but I have:

fjp@galadriel:~$ dpkg -l xfonts-konsole
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (...)
||/ Name              Version           Description
+++-=================-=================-==================================================
ii xfonts-konsole 3.1.4-0woody1 Fonts used by the KDE Konsole

So why the error if I I start a Linux Console in Konsole?
And yes, 'misc' is in the FontPath list in my X11 configuration.

By the way, README.linux.console is no longer present in the "official" 3.1.4
stable package (it was in 2.2.2 - Debian Woody), but . I think that calls for
a bug report as the error message still refers to it.

(I am running Debian Woody with the "official" backports.)
