Sure thing. Go to 'Settings'->'Configure Konqueror'. There you have to
go to the second of two tabs entitled 'Behavior'. You want the one
that has the browser icon, not the one with the file manager icon.
Then there's an option 'Open links in new tab instead of new window'.
I think that should do what you want.
