Re: KDE 3.1: aRTsd doesn`t start, libvorbisfile.so.0 missing

The above fixed my problem (which AFAIK happens when you attempt to use the Woody KDE build on sid)...another library will also scream...but it tells you when you are attempting to in install and is resolved in the same manner, by creating a symlink.

I think there's been some discussion on this already.

IIRC, the solution is to ln -s /usr/lib/libvorbisfile.so.2 libvorbisfile.so.0
Assuming you already have libvorbisfile.so.2.

aRTsd doesn`t start, it`s complaining a missing libvorbisfile.so.0 .

Searching Debian packages, I found this file beeing in
libvorbis0_1.0rc3-1_i386.deb.

Installation of that package, however, is not possible:

(Translation from German, may me not exact)
lutz:/home/lutz/download# dpkg -i --force-overwrite
libvorbis0_1.0rc3-1_i386.deb dpkg - warning: downgrading libvorbis0 from
1.0.0-1 to 1.0rc3-1. dpkg: Looking at libvorbis0_1.0rc3-1_i386.deb
containing libvorbis0 libvorbisenc2 colliding with libvorbis0 (<< 1.0.0)
libvorbis0 (Version 1.0rc3-1) to be installed.
dpkg: Error processing libvorbis0_1.0rc3-1_i386.deb (--install):

Any ideas?
