Re: Konqueror: Embedding of packed documents



Hi there,

It might be me, but think about it for a moment.

If it's gzipped, how can KDE/Konq etc know what is INSIDE the gzip without 
opening it? ie the mimetype will be the zip, not the pdf/ps file. So, it gets 
opened with Ark. I fail to see how else it could work to be honest.  

The only alternative would be to download the file, inspect the contents, 
select the appropriate viewer and load it... But it's a bit shaky IMHO...

What do you think?
