I am ok with kdesdk - thats built fine for me
I have suspicions that its the version of automake that is causing the kdepim
problem. In the debian/control file it says there is a build dependence on
automake 1.6, if you run dselect and read what it says about automake 1.6 (it
basically says it doesn't work in certain situations) it might explain the
kdepim problem, which in my case is failing in the kpilot conduits where it
has to build two libraries at the same time.
I've just removed automake 1.6 from my system, changed the dependency in the
debian/control file to automake 1.7 and I have at least got past the point in
the build were it was failing before.
