Slow kdm, kicker, kicker startup
Hello all,
apologies if this has already been handled in the archives (though I was
unable to find anything related to it in there). I recently upgraded to kde
3.02 using the standard debs and am running into trouble with extremely long
startup times for some kde applications. The most obvious offenders are
kicker and kdm. On a p3 500, with 256mb ram, they both take more than 5
minutes to start up! Other applications, such as kcontrol and konsole
startup quickly. Has anyone else seen this happen? Does anyone know what
may be causing this?
