RE: VMware interaction with screensaver

I have nearly identical Debian systems at home and at work - up-to-date
unstable, KDE 3.0.2, kernel 2.4.1[78], Java 1.4.1-beta, Netbeans 3.2, and
VMware 3.0 with Windows 2000 inside (have to be able to set sites with IE6
under W2K). My KDE screen savers work fine. I'm sorry, I wish I had a
better answer than "it works for me", but that's all I can offer.

Subject: VMware interaction with screensaver

Hi,

Does anyone here use VMware? I'm using the 3.0.2 debs and find that
I can no longer start the screensaver after I have run VMware, even
if it is no longer running. I can run the screensaver test from the
control panel but it will never start after the timeout and pressing
the 'lock' button has no effect. I have seen the same problem on
a different PC with the same VMware and KDE.

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Simeon

P.S. Thanks for the KDE 3 debs!
