dead keys not working in KDE under Debian

I have received this mail from one of the KDE developpers. He suggests me to
recompile the qt-copy module to check if the dead keys problem disappears.
I cannot now, perhaps within some days, ¿May be you want to try?

Seguramente esto arregle tu problema,
¿Puedes probar a compilar el módulo qt-copy tú mismo para comprobarlo?

Hasta luego,

Translation of the previous paragraph:

Possibly this will fix your problem,
¿Can you try to recompile the qt-copy module by yourself to check it?.

See you,
