I would like to chime in on this as I consider this to be a very good idea.

Personally I would also sponsor developing an Ukrainian language pack 
for "SQL Ledger" where I maintain a "friendy fork" called "ledgerplus" 
which aims at developing language packs for this business software.

So far I do not have Ukrainian on my list but I am willing to sponsor a 
translation pack
