OPERATIONS ENGINEER:
Expert network and system operation engineer, interested in sharing significant responsibilities in the deployment and day-to-day operations of a large-scale distributed malware analysis system across multiple continents. Must be motivated to learn new technologies and help shape company operations. We believe in infrastructure as code and building tools to automate and scale our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large-scale, private-cloud based infrastructure that supports the analysis of malware
- Improve and manage application/configuration deployment tools
- Implement system monitoring to ensure high availability
- Manage the deployment of network security monitoring systems
- Shared on-call responsibility
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with operating a highly available production environment
- Passion for automation
- Experience with Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
- Experience with network administration
- Experience with configuration management systems (puppet)
- Scripting skills (python and bash)
- Excellent and creative problem solving skills. You don’t need to know everything but you need to know how to find the solution
- Familiarity with datacenter deployment
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Willingness to travel to co-locations and occasionally install equipment
Nice to have:
- Network services administration (apache, nginx, uwsgi, haproxy)
- Experience with source code revision control systems (Git preferred)
- Familiarity with queuing systems (rabbitmq, zeromq)
Job Locations:
- US (working from the Santa Barbara, California office preferred)
