Full details here - note the closing date of 19th August:

http://ceh.ac.uk/careers/bioinformatician-fixed-term-appointment-12-months

This circular was put out by Tim Booth <tbooth@ceh.ac.uk> on 31st June
2015.

We are looking for a bioinformatician to join the group at CEH
Wallingford, UK, to work on the EOS Cloud project
(http://environmentalomics.org/eoscloud/)
which has just been launched in a pilot phase. The system runs
Bio-Linux which is based upon Ubuntu/Debian packages and the successful
applicant will be contributing to free software as part of the job
(specifically via participating in Debian Med) as well as promoting and
educating our users on free software.

The role requires technical aptitude and a grounding in contemporary
bioinformatics but other than that we're open-minded about who might
fill the role, and what we really want is someone who is bright,
organised, enthusiastic, and ready to learn. Initially this is a 12-month fixed-term
contract. Unfortunately we are not able to consider applicants who need
a work permit for the UK, so you must already be eligible to do so.

Please send any questions to wlpersonnelhelpdesk@ceh.ac.uk. I (Tim)
will be on leave after this week so if you send messages directly to me
they will not be answered until I return.
