Looking for a Linux sysadmin, full time, in Darmstadt, Germany

Hi,

we are looking for someone with strong Linux skills to complement our
HPC department cf.
https://www.gsi.de/en/studium_karriere/job_offers/job_offers.htm?tx_stellenaussschreibung_pi1[uid]=176
(in German only)

GSI is a physics research institute located in Darmstadt, Germany
operating a heavy ion accelerator. GSI is currently building a new
accelerator and transforming into the international research project FAIR.

The HPC department is operating multi-PB Lustre file systems, compute
clusters with more than 10000 cores and also many central services like
Linux desktops, DNS, web-based collaboration tools etc all running on
Debian GNU/Linux.

The deployment is mostly carried out by Chef with Cfengine2 being slowly
phased out. Take a look at https://github.com/GSI-HPC/sys-chef-cookbook
to get an idea.
We rely heavily on automation, coding in Ruby.
Sufficient knowledge of Shell, Perl, PHP and/or C to understand and
eventually modify open source software we rely on is favorable.

If you are interested please send your application to bewerbung@gsi.de
before February 14th.
Our HR department will probably respond in German only, so this is the
minimum level of German you should be able to cope with.
Anyhow feel free to contact us directly for help and further information.

Cheers,
	Christopher
