[JOB] Perl Developer - New York City



This is a full time, on-site, salaried Perl Developer position located in
New York City paying to $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience +
benefits. No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card holders only

The candidate will be responsible for web interface programming for an
internal database driven application that connects multiple systems used for
internal operations. The position requires primarily Perl/web development
work, but there is also a component of Oracle database administration and
Linux system administration. The candidate must be very proficient with SQL
and able to author complex queries for reporting purposes. The candidate
must be a proficient web author and JavaScript programmer. The applicant
should be prepared to participate in decision-making on broader information
architecture and design questions. 

Desired Experience: 

* Extreme proficiency in advanced Perl programming for both system
administration, and web applications 
* Proficiency with the following Perl Modules: CGI, DBI, DBD::Oracle, Carp,
Date, HTML::Template 
* Ability to write own Perl Modules and subroutine package 
* Solid understanding of multidimensional data structures, references,
regular expressions 
* Extreme proficiency in SQL 
* Solid understanding of database concepts: keying, subquerying, triggers,
stored procedures 
* Web authoring: complex JavaScript, HTML, CSS 
* Extensive experience in command line Unix/Linux environments 
* Ability to install, administrate Linux packages, including from source 
* Experience programming for mod_perl
