FULL TIME: Python Developer, NYC | 100-120k

This is a full time, on-site, salaried Senior Software Engineer position
located in Long Island City, NY paying $100,000 to $120,000 depending on
experience + benefits. No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card

My client is a lifestyle-enhancement service. Their free streaming music
service has expert-made playlists for every occasion and makes it extremely
easy to find the right one, at the right time. They are one of the most
exciting startups right now. The team has spent the last 6 years becoming
experts and highly regarded players in a complex media industry. 

They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer. They don't have a hard and
fast, "must have X, Y, and Z", laundry list. They are looking for people
with experience in a good selection of the following technologies (and the
ability/willingness to get up to speed on the ones they're missing): 

* Python 
* Django 
* Linux (both as a development platform and sysadmin experience) 
* MongoDB 
* Web technologies such as nginx, haproxy, gunicorn, memcache 
* Web site scale-up, performance tuning, monitoring 
* Working with large data sets 
* DVCS (we use hg, but won't hold it against you if you know git) 
* 6+ years of software development experience 
* In-depth knowledge of OOP concepts and techniques 
* A bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience
