Vacancy: Free Software Engineer, Rugby UK

credativ is a growing specialist with a wealth of experience in the Linux and free software environment; we are committed to promoting open source software through using, developing and supporting its use for our customers.

credativ is home to 15 Debian Developers and has a long history of contributing to Debian GNU Linux, as well as other free software projects such as PostgreSQL.

We are looking for a motivated individual to expand our technical team. Based in our Open Source Support Centre, you will be working on open source projects as well as providing customer support, bug fixing and troubleshooting.

Required skills and experience:
* Participation in or working towards contributing to open source projects
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility with job responsibilities and tasks
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desired skills and experience:
* Debian packaging and maintenance
* Involvement with other projects, particularly Postgres, OpenERP, Nagios / ICINGA
* Programming skills: C++, Java, Ruby, Perl
* A degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline
