-- The Role --
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing system
administration for our Linux bases applications. Maintaining the server
farm that provides our software as a service to over 3000 user, handling
over 100,000 transactions a day.
-- The Person --
* In-depth knowledge of Linux (preferably Debian GNU/Linux)
* Experience with Linux system administration
* Experience with MySQL and some basic SQL skills. MySQL
administration would be an advantage.
* Shell scripting experience
* Some knowledge of Windows server 2003/8
* Additional knowledge of the following would also be an
advantage:
* nagios, shorewall, LDAP, cfengine, IPSec, mediawiki,
debian packaging
* Ability to solve problems creatively
* Comfort working in a distributed team
* Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in
person
* High productivity
