Jimdo seeks for an experienced linux admin to join our core development
team. The position is full-time and is based in our office in Hamburg,
Germany.
Responsibilities
* keep everything online
* process automation and monitoring of our server farm
* performance/scalability auditing and strategy development
* security auditing and strategy development
* backup management strategy development
Requirements
You should be an expert in
* Linux/Debian webservers with at least 2 years of experience (package
management, system maintenance)
* network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc)
* server-security (Linux, iptables, HTTPS/SSL)
* configuring and securing Apache, lighttpd, PHP and MySQL
* backup- and monitoring strategies
* We are using many open source products like subversion, zabbix and
others. Knowledge of these products is of advantage but not a must.
