gradle-debian-helper contains helper tools to ease the packaging of Gradle
based projects in Debian. It consists in:

  * a Gradle plugin resolving the dependencies against the system Maven
repository (/usr/share/maven-repo). The resolver uses the same Maven
rule files that maven-debian-helper and maven-repo-helper employ
    (debian/maven.rules, debian/maven.ignoreRules).
  * a debhelper class detecting Gradle build files, initializing the plugin
and running Gradle in offline mode.

if gradle is the next big thing, please make sure that it works with zero as well. It looks like gradle is so slow that it times out on the zero architectures. A simple mode emitting a dot or a line every 15min or so if no other output happens would be fine to let the builds finish.

Also, please make sure that your helper is able to skip architecture independent bits for arch-only builds.
