This is an extremely small blue book compatible Java virtual machine.

JamVM package has been removed from Debian Unstable on Feb 2010 [1] by "ROM;
lack of interest, alternatives exists".
But it seems JamVM project recently regained interrest [2] by providing a new
VM implementation for OpenJDK6 classlib [3]. Whereas, at the same time,
CacaoVM activity seems to be decreasing).

For people willing to (re-)package this software :
- look into pkg-java repository for starting point
- (maybe) provide a jamvm-source package to be able to package it inside
openjdk6

the jamvm source should be kept in the openjdk-6 and openjdk-7 sources. The versions used will differ, and as long as it's not used by other things besides openjdk, it should be kept there.
