Hey
Personally I do not use git-buildpackage (though I believe Benjamin
does). When building the master branch (at 3.5.2-8), then obtain the
tarballs[1] (e.g. from the archives) and using dpkg-buildpackage should
work.
If you are using the master-3.6 branch (at 3.6 something) you need to
use gbp-pq to apply the patches first.
$ gbp-pq import
and then build as usual (you should be in the branch
"patch-queue/master-3.6" now).
Let me know if that helped :)
Note that 3.6 should build, but replies on some pre-compiled stuff in
the orig.tar.gzs, so it is not ready for the archive.
