I am very interested. My java pacakging skills is unfortunately
nonexistant and my time is currently limited.
I'm hoping that some of the java packagers in here can give you some
qualified feedback of the packaging quality.
I will be more than happy to build the 'sesame-backend-soprano' from the
soprano source package when the required java libraries are in the
archive.
