Its up to you. When you decide it should be maitained under the Debian
Java maintainers umbrella you can (and probably should) still maintain
the package as it would be otherwise some burden for the team to
maintain packages that is probably noone in the team using.

If you want I can add you to the pkg-java group on alioth. This gives
you SVN access.
