I recently migrated the Bouncy Castle package (source package bouncycastle, binary package libbcprov-java and libbcprov-java-doc, with more to come) to the pkg-java repository, and made Debian Java maintainers the maintainer. I had spent a lot of time getting the package to build properly, and now they went and released a new upstream version which totally breaks my building strategy. The good news is that they have replaced shell scripts with ant, which should move its packaging more in line with other Debian Java packages. At this time I am unable to commit any resources to getting the new upstream version built and packaged for Debian. By moving the package into pkg-java, I was hoping that there might be someone else on the list with sufficient interest to take the time to fix debian/rules to accomodate the new use of ant. If anyone is so inclined, please help yourself. :-) cheers, Charles -- For faces that go places Burma-Shave http://burma-shave.org/jingles/1939/for_faces_that
