Yes, this was the intention. However, I was told that mod_webapp is deprecated so I decided to package mod_jk for Apache 1.3 and mod_jk2 for Apache 2.x separately.
Is there any status update for the package? I am curious if it makes sense to wait any longer, or if I should try to build the connector myself. This is something I wouldn't like to do, but I would have to try anyway because soon I will need to have the test machine ready.
I have posted instruction for building mod_jk2 for Apache 2.0 to the debian-java list today. It will take at some time until I build packages so I suggest to build the module yourself.

You should consider subscribing if you are interested in Debian Java packages...
