Kaffe on powerpc-linux works in interpreter mode, and passes all regression
tests, but AWT programs may give you problems. How ready it is for daily use,
depends on what you're doing (as with any other fee implementation).

if you're interested in helping out, there is a jit for powerpc in JanosVM that
could be merged in back into kaffe if someone volunteers to do it.
