Re: Where to get Blackdown's JDK?
I haven't had any problems, but a couple of things to note:
As far as I know the only J2SDK 1.4 blackdown deb up on the mirrors is
the beta release from last year, NOT the final blackdown J2SDK 1.4
release that came out about a month ago. The status page says that the
deb is coming soon:
http://blackdown.org/java-linux/java2-status/jdk1.4-status.html
The changes list should give you a sense of what works and what doesn't
in the beta. I actually don't do a lot of java development, just
occasional tests, so I can't really say that I have extensive enough
experience to answer your question.
I'm sure some of the others on this list can.
Good luck

Kick ass. Have you had any problems with J2SDK 1.4 on your machine?
And, are you running sarge? I was using SID previously so that I could
have 1.4, but went back to sarge for more stability. I'm installing
the 1.4 J2SDK now and hope all goes well. :)
