Re: Where to get Blackdown's JDK?

I haven't had any problems, but a couple of things to note:

As far as I know the only J2SDK 1.4 blackdown deb up on the mirrors is the beta release from last year, NOT the final blackdown J2SDK 1.4 release that came out about a month ago. The status page says that the deb is coming soon:

http://blackdown.org/java-linux/java2-status/jdk1.4-status.html

The changes list should give you a sense of what works and what doesn't in the beta. I actually don't do a lot of java development, just occasional tests, so I can't really say that I have extensive enough experience to answer your question.

I'm sure some of the others on this list can.

Good luck

I have this in my sources.list:

seems to work just fine.

Kick ass. Have you had any problems with J2SDK 1.4 on your machine? And, are you running sarge? I was using SID previously so that I could have 1.4, but went back to sarge for more stability. I'm installing the 1.4 J2SDK now and hope all goes well. :)
