LANG warning in Synaptic
Hi all,
I run Debian with LANG=ja_JP.EUC-JP.
However, if I run synaptic in English (LANG=en_US && synaptic), I get
hammered with these messages.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LANG = "en_US"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
Is there anyway around this? I need the Japanese environment, but it's
not my first language so I also need to pop to English (for myself and
for posting issues on other mailing lists).
Any ideas?
Yoroshiku!
Eric P.
