My apologies, I meant to say "iptables", the newest implementation. Check out

Unless things have changed dramatically, this PPPOE driver beat the rest. It's easy to setup, just be sure you chmod certain files before allowing anyone or anything else on your linux box.

Just use the above, and ip masquarading on your network will be no problem through the PPP connection. As for iptables, you're on your own there for now. The only stumbling block is learning iptables over ipchains and how packets pass through the schema. Other than that, if it's just a simple LAN and IPMASQ scheme, then it should be straight forward.

Do you have any more ideas about that problem?  I'm using just a local
firewall on my computer right now with iptables, so I'd like to solve
any stumbling blocks before diving in.  It's been a long time since I
played with PPPoE under Linux...
