new release of text editor mined (Unicode-capable)

                         mined 2000 release 3

An editor that is small and easy to use but yet full of capabilities.
Runs in plain text mode terminals.
Supports Unicode. Provides mouse control and menus.
Runs on Unix and DOS/Windows platforms.


Short description

	Environment and interface:

*	Mined runs in a text mode terminal environment and supports 
	mouse control and menus.

	Character set support:

*	Mined supports Unicode including double-width and combining 
	characters.
*	Edits UTF-8. Converts UTF-16 (21-Bit Unicode).
	Edits files with mixed UTF-8 and Latin-1 contents.
*	Handles mixed 8/16 bit charsets as used for Chinese.
*	Full binary transparent editing with visible indications 
	(illegal UTF-8, mixed line end types, NUL characters, ...).
*	Numeric and mnemonic input support for Unicode.

	Functionality:

*	Mined has an intuitive, simple way of operation. No modes.
*	Safe handling of all file operations, avoiding loss of data.
*	Basic support for paragraph justification (word-wrap).
*	Support for HTML editing (tag entry and coloured display).
*	Automatic smart quotes.
*	Identifier and "tags" cross-file search.
*	Search and replacement patterns may include new-lines.
