se non c'è verifica che esista tale gruppo

verifica anche se ha installato il pacchetto  pm-utils

$ dpkg -l | grep  pm-utils

$ dpkg -l |grep pm-utils
ii pm-utils 1.4.1-9 all utilities and scripts for power management


Che desktop environment utilizzi?

$ dpkg -l |grep gnome-session

devo spegnerlo con: "Alt Gr" + "R.Sist" + "O"
In rete non ho trovato alcun suggerimento.

ma non hai trovato nulla neanche nei log?

questo è quello che trovo nell'ultimo file modificato, prima dello spegnimento, in \var\log e che si trova in \var\log\gdm3\
