Re: gestione temperatura notebook - spegnimento improvviso
cercando di risolvere il problema di surriscaldamento del notebook ho
installato lm-sensors, sensord, sensors-applet e xsensors (installazioni
terminate senza alcun problema), poi ho installato fancontrol la cui
installazione però è terminata con il messaggio
Not starting fancontrol; run pwmconfig first. ...
warning che leggo in fase di avvio del computer; eseguendo pwdconfig
ottengo:

your motherboard. Note that many motherboards do not have pwm
circuitry installed, even if your sensor chip supports pwm.

/usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed
ho provato ad eseguire sensors-detect che ha individuato
Intel digital thermal sensor... Success!
ed ha terminato suggerendomi di aggiungere le seguenti riga a /etc/modules
# Chip drivers
coretemp
Inoltre googalando ho trovato anche [1] (anche se relativo a chip
w83697hf-isa-0290) che suggeriva di aggiungere in /etc/default/grub la
seguente riga:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet acpi_enforce_resources=lax"
e quindi eseguire un update-grub per poi riavviare, ma il risultato non
cambia pwdconfig termina sempre alla stessa maniera.
La mia domanda è la seguente: ma l'"Intel digital thermal sensor" è un
sensore di tipo pwm?
