Thank you for your report. Following established Internet convention,
abuse@vt.edu was created to process reports of alleged misuse of
Internet related services that may have originated within the Virginia
Tech domain. E-mail to abuse@vt.edu is reviewed during normal business
hours only: M-F, 8am-5pm, Eastern Time.

*********************PLEASE DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS*********************

When sending log files or other info, include such in the text of the note.

                  PHYSICAL THREAT SITUATION

If you feel your life is threatened or fear bodily harm, please contact
appropriate law enforcement officials. Blacksburg campus faculty, staff,
and students should contact the VT Police. Other users should contact
law enforcement in their local area. Resources may also be found at:

      www.stopabuse.vt.edu & www.womenscenter.vt.edu

VA TECH RESPONSE TO YOUR E-MAIL

All reports will be fully investigated by university staff. Due to the
volume of e-mail received and legal requirements for privacy, however,
an acknowledgement or update will not be possible. You may be contacted
to obtain further information.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR E-MAIL

Please ensure that e-mail is forwarded to abuse@vt.edu with FULL HEADER
information included. This information is critical to the investigation
process. See the following URL for instructions on how to display headers:

                www.answers.vt.edu/kb/entry/214/

                  UNWANTED/UNSOLICITED E-MAIL

If you are reporting unwanted e-mail received on a Virginia Tech account
from another site, please attempt to contact that site first (for example,
if you receive e-mail from john.doe@AOL.com, contact abuse@AOL.com). If
you have difficulty determining the site, we will assist, but little
else can be done except in cases that may constitute a Denial of Service
(DoS) attack. Setting filters on your computer may help; check the URL
below for details:

If you are unable to send e-mail into the VT.EDU domain and suspect your
site is on a block list, submit a problem report at:

      www.4help.vt.edu

                  DMCA & COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS

DMCA and copyright complaints should be sent to our designated agent-

DMCA@vt.edu. Claims misdirected may not be handled promptly or at all.

Virginia Tech does not monitor information transmitted through or hosted
on its network, but we do take all potential violations of established
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) seriously. The information you have provided
will be used to investigate the incident. Once the investigation is
complete, action will be taken in accordance with established policies. To
