doppio monitor - chiedo anche a Debian



Buongiorno a tutti,
Sulla Karmic sto cercando di utilizzare 2 monitor, uno per il normale
utilizzo ed il secondo da utilizzare come schermo televisivo.
Il 1° passaggio dovrebbe consistere nel far riconoscere al sistema il
monitor aggiunto.

Premetto che ho passato la serata di ieri a spulciare tra i forum ed i
wiki ma senza risultato... ho trovato i seguenti post ma, applicando i
consigli che ho trovato, non ho risolto il problema per cui mi rivolgo
alla lista:

e vari altri ma senza successo.

Tramite NVIDIA X Server Settings non sono riuscito ad attivare il
secondo monitor pur se viene riconosciuto perfettamente.
Per caso, qualcuno della Debian saprebbe consigliarmi?
