anche io ho una savage, ma su un vecchio computer portatile che non va
al di là di 800x600, quindi ti invidio! :D

Proprio in virtù delle recenti novità, ti consiglierei di provare a
spostare xorg.conf nella tua home e lascia al pc rilevare la corretta
risoluzione dello schermo.
