scanner epson 1260 photo
Debian Etch non riesco a far funzionare lo scanner con gimp.
Ho usato le istruzioni di questa pagina:

e il file della scansione esiste ed è visibile correttamente.
Con la scansione come root e da riga di comando funziona, pertanto la
periferica scanner Epson perfection 1260 photo non ha problemi. (con w2k
funziona perfettamente).
Ho installato Xsane per poter fare scansioni direttamente da Gimp, ma mi
da il messaggio Non e' disponibile nessun dispositivo.

non mi funziona.
Ho provato a guardare i messaggi della lista:
Scanner Epson 3490, non riconosciuto
ma ho gia' installato quanto trattavano.
Qualche idea?
