Se puoi scegliere ti consiglio PostgreSql: www.postgresql.org ... che è
più potente di Oracle!
vorrei installarlo su di un Athlon 1.1Ghz con 512Mb di RAM cosi da
potermi esercitare in locale..

in realtà funziona di sicuro anche su Etch (probabilmente anche su
Sarge) ... è sufficiente che aggiungi nel source.list la riga indicata
