[OT] password in NTOP

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Forse avevo domandato in lista per quanto riguardava la password per
proteggere le statistiche di NTOP.

Ecco la soulzione.

Scusate l'OT.

Saluti, filippo

ntop Admin Password

ntop shows the current network usage. It displays a list of hosts that
are currently using the network and reports information concerning the
IP (Internet Protocol) traffic generated by each host. The traffic is
sorted according to host and protocol. If you haven't set ntop
administrator's password, ntop could not start. Because setting this
password for the first time makes some internal configurations for ntop
to run.

You need a web browser to access the information captured by the ntop
program. Locate your browser at

http://<address.of.EASM.server>:8080

By default, ntop will permit everyone to see network activities from the
above address. If you limit the access to ntop so that it asks for a
password whenever a connection established, do the followings.

    * Connect to ntop from the above address
    * Click to the ''Admin'' tab (on the top right corner of the web page).
    * Click to ''URLs'' link on the menu bar (located on the left side
of the web page). This will prompt you a user name and password. Write
admin as user name and provide password you defined.
    * Click to ''Add URL'' link. Do not write anything on the URL field.
    * Click ''Add URL'' button.
