nvida geforce2 gts

Ho aggiornato il kernel alla versione 2.6.8-3-k7 e ho dovuto ricompilare 
il supporto alla scheda grafica nvidia geforce2 gts. Ho installato 
quindi il kernel-headers e lanciato NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1.run.
Faccio il restart del gdm e X parte... soltanto che al successivo 
riavvio devo rieseguire NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1.run.

Cosa può essere?

Vi allego anche l'ultima parte del XFree86.0.log, quando fallisce la 
partenza di gdm:
