Blocco sistema: Debian Sarge
Salve ragazzi,
ho da poco installato la Sarge su un IBM Desktop. Tutto sembra andare
bene ma dopo che la macchina è up si blocca completamente, o meglio le
operazioni che si vogliono svolgere diventano così lente che alla fine
il sistema si incarta e non è più responsive. Ho notato, dal plugin
"Monitor di Sistema" sulla barra di Gnome, che all'avvio il sistema usa
già il 50% della Memoria installata e continua a divorare memoria fino
ad arrivare al 100% dopo una ventina di minuti (il tutto senza fare
grandi cose). Come posso sapere quale processo usa tutta questa memoria?
Considerate che guardando l'output ti /top/ non ho nessuna informazione,
in quanto tutti i processi sembrano non consumare memoria.
Di seguito vi elenco le caratteristiche del sistema:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
cache size : 1024 KB
RAM: 512MB
(tralascio le altre componenti per ora e vi allego l'output di /lspci -vv/)
Il kernel attualmente in uso è il 2.6.12.6 (patchato per bootsplash e
suspend2-to-disk). Comunque il problema si verificava anche con il
kernel 2.6.8 (quello di default della serie 2.6 nell'installazione di
Sarge).
Fatemi sapere se vi viene qualcosa in mente...
