CD/DVD RW, packet writing
Sto cercando di utilizzare un supporto riscrivibile come se fosse un
disco "normale" (o quasi), con packet writing, udf e compagnia bella.
Premessa: uso
- etch
- masterizzatore SONY DVD RW DW-U10A, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive,
associato a /dev/hdd
- kernel 2.6.11-1-k7
Se non ho capito male, nel kernel 2.6.8 non e' ancora incluso il modulo
pktcdvd, cosi' ho installato il 2.6.11 e ora pare esistere.
Leggendo il /usr/share/doc/udftools/README.Debian, ho utilizzato il
comando /etc/init.d/udftools dopo aver editato /etc/default/udftools
opportunamente.
Il device pare ora associato in modo corretto:

Da notare che se blanko normalmente il cd con un
# cdrecord -v gracetime=2 dev=/dev/hdd speed=4 -tao blank=fast -force
non da' problemi, mentre se tento di formattarlo con un

# cdrwtool -d /dev/hdd -q

Ovviamente non ho idea dell'origine del problema: googlando e leggendo
altre ml non ho trovato granche', se non una in cui qualcuno riceveva il
mio stesso identico messaggio di errore, ma era scritta in rumeno.
Ho seguito vari howto, tra cui questo (al quale si rifanno molti altri,
mi e' parso di capire)

A parte le debian-differenze, mi e' sembrato di svolgere tutte le
operazioni correttamente...
Ora ho intenzione di provare con un dvd rw seguendo questo altro documento

ma mi interesserebbe capire dove sta il problema...
Qualcuno ha fatto gli stessi esperimenti ed e' riuscito?
