Ciao,

non posseggo un ups ma, quando mi sono documentato in merito alla loro
gestione sotto Linux, ho trovato i software apcd e apcupsd (entrambi
relativi ad ups ACP); ti riporto un estratto da apt-cache:

apcd

"APC Smart UPS daemon
This daemon monitors an APC UPS either as master, with the serial cable
attached to it, or as a slave, with a network connection to the master.

The daemon constantly gathers information from the UPS (battery load,
Temperature, workload, etc.) and logs them to a file. It shuts down
the system cleanly after a certain period of constant power failure or
if the battery load falls below a certain level."

apcupsd

"APC UPS Power Management
Controls / monitors the status of an APC UPS under Linux.
Allows your computer or server to run for a specified length of
time on UPS power, and then executes a controlled shutdown in
the case of an extended power failure."

Probabilmente non sono migliori di PowerChute, ma di certo si tratta di
free ed opensource software
