gpm mi rallenta X...

Scusate se posto ancora, ma vorrei provare a girare i problema:
Dopo aver sostituito la mia scheda video, passando da una
ATI 3D Rage Pro ad una Matrox G450, ho notato la degenerazione
di un problema che esisteva già con la ATI: avviando X e switchando
da X a console, notavo un forte ritardo, ovvero un frezee di X, per
alcuni secondi. Avevo notato che il problema era imputabile alla gestion
del mouse, ovvero se in background girava gpm, avveniva questo ritardo.
Adesso, con la Matrox, X tarda fino a 20 sec. prima di avviarsi
completamente, e mi pianta il mouse della console...
Allora ho stoppato gpm, tolto /dev/gpmdata da XF86Config-4 e così X si
avvia immediatamente e nello switchare non vi sono ritardi importanti...
Devo quindi dedurre che gpm crei attualmente dei problemi a X con questa
scheda video?
