Provate :( ho aggiunto al mio sourcelist

deb http://www.bootsplash.de/files/debian/ unstable main

ho patchato il kernel, installato i temi e i splashutils, modificato il
lilo.conf ma miente. Questi sono i parametri impostati:

vga=791
append="video=vesa:ywrap mtrr, splash=silent"

dal dmesg vedo questo:

fbsplash: silent

se provo ad impostare manualmente il background (sempre che abbia capito
bene come si fa) mi restituisce quest'errore

effettivamente quel file non esiste ma esiste /proc/fbsplash


Mi dici che kernel hai usato e con quali patch?
