(sarge) 2.6.7-grsecurity : locatedb lost

Ciao a tutti,
ho un problemino, non so come ma ho perso il locatedb 
(/var/cache/locate/)...
il comando locate senza opzioni/parametri mi da l'help ma se cerco ad 
esempio snoopy:

# locate snoopy
locate: /var/cache/locate/locatedb: No such file or directory

mi sono googlizzato ma non ho trovato nulla di che... qualcuno sa come 
recuperarlo/ricostruirlo?
