errore installando samba: failed to write to pipe in copy: Input/output error



Non riesco a installare samba, ci ho gia' provato un paio di volte, am
mi da sempre gli stessi errori:

input/output error....problema HW? come se non riuscisse a scrivere sull'hd...
in effetti confesso che l'hd ha qualche settore daneggiato :) , c'e' un modo (ovviamente 
senza riformattarlo) per tracciare i settori danneggiati in modo che non vi si scriva?
mke2fs ha un'opzione che lo fa mi pare, solo che non voglio riformattare...
