guarda se hai il demone devfsd installato (comunque credo di si :-) )
probabilmente non hai selezionato la voce :
CONFIG_DEVFS_MOUNT=y
nel .config
prova anche a passare 'devfs=mount' a lilo.conf come consiglia il messaggio
d'errore.
