Ho dato il seguente comando (coma da howto)
kpsewhich -expand-var \$TEXMFLOCAL
per scoprire in quale directory piazzarlo. La risposta è stata
/usr/local/share/texmf
L'ho piazzato lì ma quando compilo non lo vede in automatico, devo
passargli manualmente durante la compilazione il path ...
