Lo e': fa anche da server lpr e ha dei binari (opzionali) chiamati esattamente
nello stesso modo e con le medesime opzioni del classico lprng. "Dentro"
pero' non c'entra proprio nulla :-)

Questi pacchetti non sono richiesti e non servono a niente se non interessa la
compatibilita' all'indietro. Se interessa, pero', basta installarli e sono un
drop-replacement comodissimo, invisibile alle applicazioni che li
utilizzano...
per quanto riguarda invece il supporto _server_ lpd non so bene perche' non ne
ho mai avuto bisogno (per stampare in rete uso il suo IPP), ma e' possibile
anche li' implementare il servizio in maniera invisibile ai client...
